Recreation 9U-19U

How it works:

Kids are divided into teams by birth year. At older ages, teams may be mixed birth year groupings. At 9U and older, there are opportunities to play on girls-only teams for those who want to.

Consult the Birth Matrix Chart on the Programs page to confirm your player's age.

You will be assigned to a coach who will schedule 2 practices each week for your team. Teams are registered with Iowa Soccer Association's (ISA) Rec Central league. Game schedules are created and published by ISA. 

Who is it for?

Recreational Soccer for the 9U and older age groups are great for kids who love playing soccer for fun!

Registration fees:

Spring:

Early-Bird registration (until January 31): $150

Regular registration fee (after January 31): $160

Fall:

Early-Bird registration (until June 30): $150

Regular registration fee (after June 30): $160

Payment plans are available.

What do you need?

You must purchase a set of uniforms for your child. These uniforms will be used through a two-year season cycle

(Fall 2024 - Spring 2026).

Des Moines Soccer Club uniforms are available through Soccer Master. To guarantee your player’s uniform is available and ready for pickup, we encourage you to order as soon as possible.

You also need: 

• Shin guards
• Soccer cleats are recommended (or tennis shoes can be used)
• Size 4 soccer ball (9U-12U)
• Size 5 soccer ball (13U+)

Fall Seasons:

• Registration opens on June 1
• Early-bird discount available through June 30
• After June 30, spots cannot be guaranteed
• ISA team registration deadlines fall around July 15, after which limited team spots are available.

• Rough Fall Timeline:
• Hear from your coach — Late Aug/Early Sept
• Practice Start — Late Aug/Early Sept
• Games Start — 1st weekend after Labor Day
• Program End — Oct 23

Spring Seasons:

• Registration opens on January 1 each year
