Recreation 6U-8U

How it works:

Kids are divided into co-ed teams that play in our in-house league, organized by birth year.

Consult the Birth Matrix Chart on the Programs page to confirm your player's age.

You will be assigned to a coach who will schedule 1-2 practices each week for your team. 

Who is it for?

The U6, U7, and U8 age groups are the foundation of soccer. Players will learn individual skills and a love for the game!

Registration fees:

Spring:

Early-Bird registration (until January 31): $140

Regular registration fee (after January 31): $150

Fall:

Early-Bird registration (until June 30): $140

Regular registration fee (after June 30): $150

Payment plans are available.

What do you need?

You must purchase a set of uniforms for your child. These uniforms will be used through a two-year season cycle

(Fall 2024 - Spring 2026).

Des Moines Soccer Club uniforms are available through Soccer Master. To guarantee your player’s uniform is available and ready for pickup, we encourage you to order as soon as possible.

• Shin guards
• Soccer cleats recommended (tennis shoes may be used)
• Size 3 soccer ball

Fall Seasons:

• Registration opens on June 1
• Early-bird discount available through June 30
• After June 30, spots cannot be guaranteed
• ISA team registration deadlines fall around July 15, after which limited team spots are available.

• Rough Fall Timeline:
• Hear from your coach — Late Aug/Early Sept
• Practice Start — Late Aug/Early Sept
• Games Start — 1st weekend after Labor Day
• Program End — Oct 23

• All Fall/Spring games are on Sundays. See kickoff times for each age group:
• 7U: 12:15pm
• 8U: 1:45pm
• 6U: 3:15pm
